The Birth and Future
The current site is merely a model showing the concept of what Datachurch could be. In it's true form, Datachurch will be a massive crosslinked database of all media types. The database will be fully searchable with a google based search engine. In addition, users will be able to add new content and both comment and rate material as they examine it. The next step will to implement a system to allow the users to create "projects" of thier own. These projects will be collections of materials with a common theme or thesis. This will allow for new and original thoughts and ideas to be created and shared with everyone.
Keeping it Going
The truth of the matter is that Datachurch is currenty running on fumes, and will soon be dead in the water like so many other sites of this kind. That is unless we get some direct financial help from YOU, yes... you. If you are reading this, you know how important this information is and why it must be distributed in a major way. It has taken me over a decade to compile the hundreds of gigs of video, audio and text on my home network... Now it is time to release it to the world. Every donatation makes a huge difference. Whats Next?
To get this project rolling a robust database back-end needs to be built. In addition, thousands of man hours of mining and compiling data needs to be done. Then will come the advanced user interaction features. Once we establish adequate funding we can aquire the bandwith we need to get some serious distribution going. The currently availablity of data of this kind is very limited; most of what I have obtained has come to me by chance and from being in the right place at the right time. With your help we can rebuild the lost knowledge of the ages and make it available to all who seek it.
